At this thrilling keynote, Paul J. Walsh (Senior Vice President, Visa Platform Strategy & Innovation) speaks about the opportunity arising from payment’s innovation in Latin America and about the future of the industry through three different areas: the consequences of Big Data and AI; Technology and hoe to make it invisible; and co-creation as a mean to deliver solutions.
The expert emphasized the opportunity that user’s data collection can be, specifically, for startups focused on helping companies manage and use this data or for those whose mission in cybersecurity, which is the main priority for companies such as VISA according to the speaker. Paul also addressed the way users interact with technology about which he stated that making it invisible is “transcending User Experience”. Finally, the expert talked about co-creation, essential in his opinion, to address “the gap that there is between how customers do things and how they want to do it” a gap that, if not correctly addressed “your loyal customers today will become your lost customers tomorrow “.
