This year’s edition of FINNOSUMMIT, the most important Fintech event in latin America, took place on September the 12th and 13th at the Centro Cultural Roberto Cantoral in Mexico City. Over 1500 investors, entrepreneurs, financial institutions representatives, consultants and high impact executives from 15 different countries attended the conference.
For this Panel we had Kusi Hornberger, Associate Partner of Dalberg Advisors, as moderator, and Matthieu Albrieux, Investment Officer at Accion Venture Lab and Christine Chang program director Startupbootcamp Scale Fintech in Mexico City, who talked about the requirements that a seed stage Fintech must fulfill to be invested in Latin America.
At this interesting panel, the speakers pointed out several factors that enable what they defined as “almost a marriage” between a startup and an investor. Among them, they highlighted some characteristics that an entrepreneur must have such as vision, focus, resilience, the ability to listen or the international experience as well as factors that the startups needs such as “a growth vision”.
