This year’s edition of FINNOSUMMIT, the most important Fintech event in latin America, took place on September the 12th and 13th at the Centro Cultural Roberto Cantoral in Mexico City. Over 1500 investors, entrepreneurs, financial institutions representatives, consultants and high impact executives from 15 different countries attended the conference.
At this interesting keynote, Miguel Herrera (Co-founder & Partner, Quona Capital) addressed one of the most talked about topics in the sector, Fintech trends in Asia, the undisputed leader of innovation in financial services. What’s more, he also discussed the similarities between this region and the Latin American one, similarities that allow to foresee certain future trends for the Fintech industry in Latin America.
Amongst other things, Miguel highlighted the unquestionable necessity for inclusion that exists in both regions which will entail, according to him, that many of the people that access financial services for the first time in LatAm, will do it, same as in Asia, through Fintech companies.
