Finnosummit is the leading platform for the Latin American Fintech ecosystem that drives and connects innovators and key industry players to transform finance and create a better world.

Finnosummit develops events, startup programs, publications and high-impact research and networking that seek to unleash the power of entrepreneurship, innovation and collaboration.

Since 2013 we have organized our flagship event, FINNOSUMMIT, the largest Fintech conference in Latin America, where entrepreneurs, financial institution executives, investors and the most influential players in the Fintech ecosystem gather to seek, generate and launch new opportunities for the transformation of the financial industry. We also hold FINNOSUMMIT Connect, where some 300 leaders can connect in person with other relevant leaders in the region to design the future of the financial industry.

At Finnosummit we are committed to the development of the Fintech ecosystem and we promote Fintech knowledge in the region through the development of studies and periodical publications on the state and latest trends of Fintech innovations. Since 2016, the Finnovista Fintech Radar have become one of the most reputable sources in the financial industry and referenced by media, investors or regulators to learn about the evolution of the Fintech ecosystem in the region. We also produce other reports that provide an in-depth analysis of the state of the Fintech ecosystem in Latin America and the Caribbean, such as the report in collaboration with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) that we have been publishing every two years since 2017.

Aligned with our commitment to empower entrepreneurs and the ecosystem, we organize startup programs and competitions to help identify the most impactful emerging Fintech talent in the region. Selected startups participate in training and ecosystem immersion programs, and are invited to pitch in front of our community at a grand finale that takes place at the FINNOSUMMIT event. Since 2014, we have held more than 20 editions of different programs that have attracted more than 6,000 startups from across the region and backed by leading companies such as Visa, BBVA, Scotiabank or Google.

The Finnosummit community is made up of over 40,000 innovators in financial services who, on a daily basis, seek trends, insights and data to understand the future of the industry as well as the opportunities and partnerships to build its transformation.

Andrés Fontao is CEO of Finnosummit, the leading Fintech community platform in Latin America, which seeks to transform finance by creating a better world. Finnosummit organizes the largest Fintech conference in Latin America, where entrepreneurs, financial industry executives, investors and the most influential players in the Fintech ecosystem gather to seek, generate and implement new opportunities for the transformation of the financial industry. Fontao is also co-founder of Finnovista, the innovation and venture capital firm committed to the development of the Fintech ecosystem and collaboration with the financial services industry in Latin America. Previously, Andres worked at a Silicon Valley based Fintech company, leading its expansion in Europe and LATAM. He was also head of mobile banking at Bankinter, having also worked as a consultant for mobile operators in Europe and Mexico. Andres holds a BA from Middlebury College and an MBA from IE Business School in Madrid. He is a Fintech entrepreneur, with an ability to identify and help grow technology-driven businesses with a focus on new market opportunities and products.

Fermin is Co-founder and Managing Partner of Finnovista, an ecosystem-driven innovation and venture capital firm that helps transform finance for the better in Latin America; Co-founder of Finnosummit, and also Co-founder and Managing Partner of Finnovista.vc, one of the most active early-stage Fintech VC investors in Latin America. Fermin was previously part of the management team that launched a 250M USD investment fund in Spain, where he led investments in Fintech, mobile technology, artificial intelligence and semiconductors startups. Fermín has also worked as a management consultant in technology-driven markets helping European incumbents overcome the challenges of disruption and digitalization. Before that he was co-founder of a wireless internet service startup serving business travelers in Spain. Fermín started his career at Ericsson as a developer, bringing to life telecom technologies that later triggered the mobile internet revolution. Fermin holds a M. Sc. in Industrial and Electrical Engineering from University of Seville, Spain and Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden. He also holds an International MBA degree by IE Business School, Spain.

Passionate about business and innovation, Franco holds a Degree in Business Administration from the Catholique University of Argentina and a Masters in Marketing from University of San Andrés. Convinced that business encounters are always transforming experiences that inspire people to take action, he participated during more than 7 years in the organisation and commercialization of over 30 major congress, including World Business Forum in NY, CDMX and Bogota.

Con un nivel avanzado de inglés, mentalidad internacional y orientación a resultados, Cristina está acostumbrada a trabajar con equipos multidisciplinares de manera remota, en diferentes zonas del mundo y husos horarios. Tiene una amplia experiencia en la creación e implementación de estrategias de marketing B2B y B2C, incluyendo la comunicación interna y externa y PR, la creación y gestión de todos los contenidos de marketing y comunicación y el calendario editorial para medios y redes sociales, planificación y gestión de campañas digitales y paid media, así como en la ideación y gestión de eventos. Currently, she works with the Operations Team to ensure that Finnosummit's events are a success and position themselves as the most relevant Fintech meeting points in Mexico and Latin America. Previously, she worked at the Ministry of Economy, where she promoted bilateral projects with the United States and Canada, in addition to developing in the field of international trade negotiations, public policy analysis and the planning of high-level international trade events and missions. She has lived in California and New York, where in addition to expanding her knowledge of international trade, she found her passion for organizing events, and particularly enjoys finding innovative proposals to ensure that the events she organizes are different and innovative. Maria strives to ensure that all her projects are sustainable and have a positive impact on society. She is also passionate about sports.
