This year’s edition of FINNOSUMMIT, the most important Fintech event in latin America, took place on September the 12th and 13th at the Centro Cultural Roberto Cantoral in Mexico City. Over 1500 investors, entrepreneurs, financial institutions representatives, consultants and high impact executives from 15 different countries attended the conference.
Peter Vander Auwera (Independent Creator – Student Painting Academy of Arts Ghent), Manuel Rivero (CEO, BanRegio) and Nektarios Liolios (Co-founder, Rainmaking Colab and Startupbootcamp FinTech) address, at this interesting conversation, the real commitment that financial institutions’ executives have towards innovation and the results they get in exchange for their investment.
The speakers came to conclusions such as, that for financial institutions, innovation is a huge challenge, among other reasons, because they find it very difficult “to delegate that kind of responsibility” and because experimentation is a central stage for banks, but they “get stack at that phase”.
